Leisurely Activity Number 1: Horse Racing

In our pursuit of all things leisurely and avoiding work at all cost we come across many things that might be considered leisurely. A good sporting event like horse racing or polo just relaxes the soul and you get to see great sport while mingling with your friends. Enjoying a nice sweet tea and with horse racing the slim chance of making money. Although making money isn't fun at the tracks, no you want to lose money that way you can complain to all your friends about the great loss but brag about how close you were. You never want to be seen worrying about money or throwing money in people's faces. The people that are there with you are your friends and it doesn't matter the wealth of each individual it matters how leisurely you seem. Losing $100 here and there means nothing because if you complain you have switched the activity from leisure to work. Work because you are trying to gain back a return. No to fully enjoy horse racing your horse should be in the lead for the first mile and then come in fourth.
The best racetrack in Kentucky: Keeneland

Now in the off chance that you bet correctly and your horse finishes in the top you should not brag about it. No, go quietly and cash the ticket and begin to find another horse to bet in the next race. This way you can be sure to lose all the money and go home with everyone else as a loser of money. Also, you would not want to go home and everyone comment how you paid for that new car with money won at the races. How nouveau riche!

Let's stop talking about the vulgarity of gambling at the track. The track at Kentucky is the place to be seen and mingle with those in your class. Time for big hats and full suits. It is the perfect place to get everyone talking about you and talk about others. See what is going on in your bourgeoisie life. Finding out information is key at these events and also makes it more leisurely because this information means nothing.

Lots of gossip going on here

The day at the races is a day to completely relax and enjoy the fresh air. Take some time to bet on a few races. See the power of the horses and the skill of the riders. Lose some money at betting. And catch up on all the latest news.

Blog of Leisure

Relax this is your time off. You will probably have 100,000+ hours of leisure time in your life and in our opinion you better use it to the best of your ability. We here at Men of Leisure believe that pursuing this time for the greatest sense of enjoyment is absolutely a must. We strive to show you how we do leisure and the lifestyle of relaxation (we don't strive too hard though or that would be work, shiver).

Here at this blog you will follow us as we participate in great leisurely activities. They might range from kayaking, fishing, camping, reading, cooking, and anything else that is worth pursuing in our time off. We want to be the best possible at these activities too. Conversant in all aspects and wanting to master the activity. Hopefully we can help you master a specific task while also expanding our horizons. If you can think of a leisurely activity for us to do let us know or share what you do in your time off. This is supposed to help everyone spend their leisure time not sleeping it away but experiencing life to the fullest.

So without further ado, get to relaxing and enjoying the leisure lifestyle.
